Connecting your publisher

Checking your Firefox companion…

Firefox may ask you to approve one-time all-websites access and add-on permissions during installation. Review and accept those permissions to connect. A download is not an installation. Confirm Social Publisher Companion appears and is enabled in about:addons, allow it to access this site, then select Reload & connect.

Downloaded the file but still not connected?

If Firefox only downloads the file, the add-on has not necessarily been installed. In Firefox, type about:addons in the address bar, open Extensions, then choose gear → Install Add-on From File and select the downloaded .xpi. Confirm Add. Next verify Social Publisher Companion is enabled and under Permissions grant access to social-publisher-a44.pages.dev. Finally select Reload & connect below. Signed installer: .

Client Setup GuideFor each customer's own Firefox, WordPress website and Facebook accounts No posting

Complete these steps on the customer's computer. Each customer's logins, WordPress site, containers and group assignments are independent. Never transfer another person's login or assignment file.

  1. 1. Install Firefox Desktop and the signed CompanionNot checked

Use Firefox Desktop 140+, install the current signed Companion, and grant the requested Social Publisher and Facebook site permissions.

  2. 2. Prepare their Facebook containersNot checked

Each customer creates their own Firefox containers and signs in to their own Facebook accounts inside them.

  3. 3. Connect their own WordPress websiteNot checked

Use their Application Password or WordPress Connector. Test the saved connection; do not share passwords or connection codes in support reports.

  4. 4. Assign their own Facebook groupsNot checked

Choose a group for each selected container and confirm that its account can post there. Existing group tabs are checked without publishing.

  5. 5. Run the computer checkNot checked

Check the extension, WordPress connection and open Facebook group tabs. The report detects configuration problems; it does not test live publication.

  6. 6. Verify one real post before bulk publishingManual step

Once the checks pass, publish one article to one permitted group and verify the picture, post and first-comment link. If the outcome is unknown, inspect the group before any retry.

Setup checks cannot guarantee that Facebook will accept future content or that a WordPress host will stay online. Export/Import assignments are for a customer's own backup—not to transfer another customer's setup.

Computer Readiness Check

Setting up Social Publisher on another PC or Mac? Run these checks before Auto Articles. No posts, comments, new tabs, or page refreshes are created by this test.

Not checked yet. Run this on each computer after installing the Companion.

The report contains no WordPress password, connection token, article URL, or Facebook session cookie. Passing does not guarantee Facebook will accept a future post.

START TIME

Schedule When Publishing Starts

Choose a clock time such as 07:00. If that time has already passed today, the next start will be tomorrow. This applies to Start Everything, Auto Articles, Manual Posts and the Time Window Scheduler.

Off
Start-time gate is off. Start buttons run immediately.
First-comment delay: fixed 1 minute Once the Facebook post is confirmed, the V4 Companion waits at least 60 seconds before adding the WordPress link.
Keep Firefox, the dashboard and the computer awake until the chosen start time. The first-comment delay is always 60 seconds. Post-confirmation and duplicate safeguards remain active.
TIME WINDOW SCHEDULER

Choose How Many Posts in Any Time Frame

Example: 10 posts every 1 hour = a 6-minute cooldown after each completed content item. The same window repeats automatically until the queue is finished. Items never overlap.

The first item starts immediately. The selected time window repeats automatically until all queued items are finished. Keep Firefox, the dashboard, and the PC awake while the schedule is running.

WordPress Connection

Connect your own WordPress website to publish articles before sharing them on Facebook. Try the simple connection first; if your host blocks it, use the connector below.

Connect your site to start publishing articles.

Grant access to article source websites once, rather than granting permission separately for every link. Firefox may ask to allow access to all websites.

Click to save the plugin ZIP to your computer. You will see a download confirmation here. Install the ZIP in WordPress → Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.

WordPress Connector connections are remembered automatically. When "Remember WordPress" is selected, your revocable WordPress Application Password is stored in this Firefox companion for the signed-in Social Publisher account, not in the cloud. Avoid this option on shared computers; Disconnect removes saved credentials from this device. You can also revoke an Application Password in WordPress → Users → Profile. Original images are reused only with permission. Auto captions support Romanian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, English, German, and Arabic; other languages require a custom caption.
