Connect your Firefox to Social Publisher
Keep using your own Firefox Multi-Account Containers. The companion connects your browser to your Social Publisher dashboard.
Install the companion
Use Firefox desktop. Select the verified signed installer link below when available. When Firefox asks for permissions, review and approve access to all websites once, including social-publisher-a44.pages.dev. This lets the companion retrieve article pages from different websites without approving every source individually. If Firefox only downloads the .xpi, it is not installed yet — follow the steps under the card.
Get signed Firefox Companion v1.5.64The signed installer is temporarily unavailable. Contact Social Publisher support.Confirm Firefox installed the add-on
Open about:addons in Firefox and check that Social Publisher Companion is shown under Extensions and enabled. If website access is not enabled, open the add-on's Permissions and allow access to all websites, or use the one-time approval option in its popup.
Reload and connect
Reload the dashboard after installation so Firefox can inject the companion into the webpage. The Reload & connect button does this for you.

If you only received a downloaded .xpi file, Firefox might not have installed it. Finish installation using these steps:
- In desktop Firefox version 140 or later, select the signed .xpi installer link above. Do not open the downloaded file with Windows or Chrome.
- In Firefox, type about:addons in the address bar and select Extensions.
- Click the gear icon → Install Add-on From File.
- Select the downloaded file and click Add to install it.
- Verify Social Publisher Companion appears in Extensions, is enabled, and its Permissions allow access to all websites and social-publisher-a44.pages.dev. Then reload the dashboard.
Never change Firefox security settings. Only install the verified Mozilla-signed companion supplied by Social Publisher. Firefox must stay available when publishing through containers.
If Firefox closes or crashes during install
Do not keep repeating the installation. This is different from the normal “No reply from Firefox” message, which only means the website cannot reach an enabled add-on.
- Restart Firefox and check your version under Help → About Firefox. Update to version 140 or newer.
- Type about:addons and check whether the Companion actually installed. If it is present, keep it disabled until the crash is diagnosed.
- If Firefox itself closed unexpectedly, type about:crashes in the Firefox address bar. If there is a submitted report ID beginning bp-, share that ID with Social Publisher support along with the Firefox version and operating system.
- If Firefox stays open but the add-on alone stops, open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, find the Companion under Extensions, and inspect errors. Share error text only (never passwords, login tokens, or session details).
Do not disable Firefox add-on signature checks or your antivirus. An unsigned source ZIP is not a replacement for a Mozilla-signed XPI.
